You all wouldn’t believe that planning trips used to bring me LOTS of anxiety. I was ALWAYS afraid to consider how I would be able to make my way.
Well, we’ll visit that later.
For this 10-day trip to join family for the burial service of my uncle and to share space with my God family during a devastating loss, I was mindful enough of my ME to build into the trip things that will get me through it (which includes the fuzzy slippers I did not know I would need!!! 😫😩🙌🏾🙌🏾).
The day after I arrived at my first destination to encounter one of the more difficult weeks of my life, I visited one of my favorite places, Montaluce Winery, and Restaurant
Though this stop was not the culmination of my travels, it definitely gave me LIFE enough to more peacefully process all I was about to encounter.
On the back end of the trip, I took a few extra days to myself at the retreat spot, Luther Springs Camp Conference & Retreat Center
another day of rest for me.
I didn’t realize how tired I still am until I fell asleep too early to do my school work Tuesday, and last night, I fell asleep IMMEDIATELY after I pressed submit on a paper. Thank GOD I got the assignment in on time though!!! Whew!!!
Enjoy these pics! Enjoy my trips!
